Installation Technician

As Installation Technician, the incumbent will be responsible for installing, aligning, maintaining and servicing of all the Network Elements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Installing of Network Elements which includes Point to Point & Point to Multi Point wireless links, copper, Ethernet, optical fibre cabling and their respective components, racks, terminal boxes, roof-top mast, site electronics & components, server, network controller, switches, routers.
  • Execution of aerial and underground construction duties such as: placing hard-line cables, frame and poles, transfer facilities between poles, place cable in joint trench, safe operation of construction.
  • Performs work to dismantle, move, or remove aerial, underground or building wire/cable equipment/poles/hardware. Installs and replaces any Network Element.
  • Setting up of link by alignment between the two distance radios, make any required cross connects to complete the connection all the way back to the telecom closet, and connect the customer’s equipment.
  • Will also be responsible to provide maintenance, disconnects and troubleshooting as and when required
  • To help build our network by providing extra support to our Network Construction Technician and installing and terminating CAT6 and fibre optic cables, creating cable pathways, and mounting radios.
  • Assembling & labelling equipment’s and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications
  • Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network back-up procedures; updating documentation
  • Maintains safe work environment by following codes, safety standards and legal regulations
  • Following instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action


Desired Candidate

  • Diploma Engg with 2+ years of experience in installing Network Equipment’s, CAT 6 Ethernet networks on the Tower sites, residential and commercial environments
  • Experience of broadband installation or Basic Hardware Networking course (Jetking, NIIT etc.) is an added advantage
  • Knowledge related to routers, switches, PTP radios, Antennas, Surge suppressor, Cables etc is an added advantage
  • Should know the basic use and care of hand tools & mechanical tools
  • Experience with handling racks and stack work, closet work, putting together patch panels
  • Must have a valid driver’s license. Own vehicle will be an added advantage; should be ok with travelling
  • Good team player who can multitask & work around deadlines
  • Should be very comfortable working for a Start-up
  • Part Time / Flexible Option Available: 20 to 24 hours in a week
